OPI Fall/Winter Iceland Collection
Hello lovelies!
For today I got for you swatches of the newest OPI fall/winter nail polish collection. The collection was inspired by the scenery of Iceland and covers a variety of colors from fully opaque cremes to a glistening sheer shade. Each and every single one of them perfect for the upcoming season and transition between the coldest seasons of the year.
This collection was gifted to me by Preen.me and OPI to try them. I am going to give you my honest insight on them and of course which were my favorites.

Para hoy les tengo los swatches de la mas reciente colección de otoño/invierno de OPI. Esta colección fue inspirada en los paisajes de Islandia y abarca una variedad de colores desde cremosos bien pigmentados hasta colores mas translucidos y con brillos. Cada uno de estos colores so perfectos para la temporada que se aproxima y sirven como transición para las temporadas mas frías del año.
La colección fue obsequiada a mi por Preen.me y OPI, pero en este post solo veras mis honestas impresiones de la misma y te diré cuales fueron mis favoritos.
I want to start with my absolute favorite of all, and yes, it had to be a purple shade! And this is because I want to see it at the top of this post, don't blame me! lol
Quiero comenzar con mi favorito, y sí, tenía que ser un tono violeta! Y es por que quiero verlo al inicio de este post, no me culpen!
Turn On The Northern Lights!
This, as I said, is a beautiful purple shade. It has a jelly, blue base consistency which I love. In it, it has little pinkish and coppery micro glitters, which reflects differently from many angles. I think this is definitely going to be a staple color for this fall. When you look under different light sources, it even reflects a beautiful green color, which I think adds to its name. Full coverage is achieved in two easy coats, it's so easy to work with.
Este, como ya dije, es un tono violeta hermoso. Su base es en texture jelly, y tiene un tono azul con una consistencia que me gustó mucho. Tiene dentro unas tonalidades rosadas y cobrizas las cuales se reflejan de forma diferente según la luz en la que estén. Definitivamente creo que sera uno de los colores claves de la temporada de otoño. Cuando se ve desde diferentes ángulos, refleja también una tonalidad verde que le hace honor a su nombre. Cubre completamente en dos capas, y es bien fácil de trabajar.
Krona-logical Order
This is one of the two brown shades of the collection. This one is more on the dark gray-ish side. I love the warmth that it gives to the manicure and it is a beautiful accent for any fall outfit. It is very opaque and you will only need two coats for full opacity.
Este color es uno de los dos tonos marrones de la colección. En el caso de este tono, se inclina un poco mas un gris oscuro. Me encanta que transmite una sensación cálida lo que le hace un complemento perfecto a un outfit de otoño. Tiene buenísima pigmentación y solo se necesitan 2 capas para alcanzar el tono perfecto.
I'll Have a Gin & Tectonic
What can I say about this one? I can describe it as a gorgeous dusty coral/peach shade. It is very girly and earthy. Nowadays, dusty variations of colors are on trend, and this one is just stunning. Two coats and you'll have a gorgeous manicure to show off.
¿Qué les puedo decir de éste? Se los puedo describir como un hermoso tono 'dusty' coral. Es bien 'girly' y 'earthy' (perdón, pero no encuentro traducción mas adecuadas que esas). Ahora mismo, las variaciones 'dusty' están bien de moda, y esta es simplemente hermosa. Dos capas de este esmalte, y estarás lista para lucir una manicura hermosa.
Less is Norse
Less is Norse is a gray toned deep blue shade that I believe to be a perfect blue shade for fall. Wow, that was a lot. It really is! This one is a very opaque shade, that almost covers perfectly in one coat, but I will definitely recommend two for a perfect finish. Very easy to apply and so chic and trendy.
Less is Norse es un tono azul oscuro con tendencia a los tonos grises. Considero que es uno de esos tonos azules perfectos para la temporada. Es bastante pigmentado y casi cubre perfecto con una capa, pero yo recomendaría dos para tener el acabado perfecto. Es bien fácil de aplicar y el resultado final es bien chic y moderno.
Aurora Berry-allis
This one is also on my favorites list. I am in love with that berry shade, deep creamy fuchsia. It is one of the shades that bring this collection to life. Amazingly opaque, but as the one before, I will recommend two coats for a beautiful coverage. It is absolutely an all season nail polish.
Este color está también en mi lista de favoritos. Estoy enamorada de la tonalidad fuchsia cremosa. Es uno de esos tonos que le da vida a la colección. Es sorprendentemente pigmentado, y al igual que el tono anterior, recomendaría dos capas para cobertura completa. Considero que es un esmalte para todas las temporadas.
This Isn't Greenland
What would a fall collection be without a green shade? I really love this one because it is a green that goes perfectly with every skin tone. It's like an olive green with a muted sense to it. I know that not everyone likes green nail polishes, but if you are going to give the shade a try, a tone like this one is the way to go.
¿Qué sería de una colección de otoño sin un tono verde? Este color me encanta por que es un tono de verde que va perfecto con cualquier tono de piel. Es como un verde olivo un tanto tenue. Yo sé que no a todo el mundo les gusta los tonos verdes en las uñas, pero si hay algún tono verde con el que quieras experimentar, un tono como este es la forma de intentarlo.
That's What Friends Are Thor
This brown shade that reminds me a lot of chocolate! And what is better than chocolate?! It is a beautiful fall color that covers perfectly in two coats. There is not much to say, it is gorgeous.
Este es un tono marrón que me recuerda muchísimo a una barra de chocolate! Y que mejor que chocolate? Es un color hermoso de otoño que cubre perfectamente en dos capas. No hay mucho que decir, es hermoso.
One Heckla of a Color!
By now, you are quite aware that I love purple. This is not an exception. I love everything about this shade, especially its uniqueness. It is more on the lavender shade, but it has a dusty feel to it. It covers perfectly in two coats.
Ya te debes haber dado cuenta que amo el color violeta. Este no es la excepción. Me encanta todo de este color, en especial que es un color único. Se inclina más a los tonos lavanda, pero tiene como una variación 'dusty'. Cubre hermoso en dos capas.
Suzi & The Arctic Fox
This one is a darker blue shade with a mauve under tone to it. It being more on the darkest side, evokes a sense of fall fashion. It uses two coats to be completely opaque.
Este es uno de los tonos más oscuros, que fluctúa entre los azules y morado. Al ser un tono un tanto mas oscuro, evoca un sentido de moda perfecto de la temporada de otoño. Con dos capas llega a la tonalidad perfecta.
Checkout the Old Geysirs
This is one of the colors that gives this collection its uniqueness. It is a light blue with darker blue tone reflections and shimmers. It represents a beautiful cold wintery Iceland scenery. It was a little difficult to capture the different tones on camera, so for what you see, add a little sparkle and shifting. I was surprised that it covered perfectly in two coats, I was expecting to be on the sheer side, but it was not.
Este es uno de los tonos que le da singularidad a la colección. Es un color azul claro con reflejos y brillos de un tono un tanto azul oscuro. Representa de una forma los paisajes de un invierno frío en Islandia. Es un poco difícil de capturar en foto , así que a lo que vez, añádele más brillo y cambios en color. Me sorprendió mucho que cubre perfecto en dos capas, ya que al ver la botella esperaba un tono translucido, y no fue así.
Icelanded a Bottle of OPI
This shade is nude taupe shade which brings neutrality to the collection. It looks a little lighter in the bottle, and when you apply it, it dries slightly dark, but not too much. Is a beautiful base color for any nail art, as well as a quick wear for when you don't want anything extravagant, but still want to show a fall vibe. Cover beautifully in two coats.
Este puede clasificarse como un color 'nude' o piel claro, lo que le da neutralidad a la colección. Se ve un tanto más claro en la botella, pero una vez lo aplicas, seca un poco mas oscuro, aunque no demasiado. Es perfecto como color base para nail art o para llevarlo por sí solo cuando no quieres utilizar ningún color extravagante, pero aun así deseas llevar un color a tono con la temporada. Cubre perfectamente con dos capas.
Reykjavik Has All the Hot Spots
Not that I don't like this one, but is not on my tops for this collection. This one is on the sheer side and it required three coats to get to the point where I liked it. Don't get me wrong, it is a very pretty shade, I just don't prefer sheer polishes. It has a pink tone to it with many shimmers and sparkles. You do have to be a little careful when applying it, to avoid streak lines.
No es que no me guste este color, pero no esta entre mis favoritos. Es mas un tono translucido y requiere tres capas para llegar a la opacidad necesaria. No me mal interpreten, el color es bien bonito, solo que no son de mi preferencia los tonos translucidos. Este en particular es un tono rosado con destellos y brillos. Hay que aplicarlo con cuidado para minimizar que se noten lineas en el resultado final.
