Hi, loves!

Today I have for you some swatches from the Winter 2016 Collection by She' Colors Cosmetics. The collection consists of eight polishes, all creamy finishes ranging from the classics black and white to deep green and burgundy. You can get them by visiting their website at www.shecolorscosmetics.com , and they are very affordable too! Let's get into the swatches!



"Alright Now"



This is a classic bright white polish. Perfectly opaque in two thin coats. It glides trough the nail very easily, and its thin formula prevents it from getting lumpy (I hate when that happens). It provides the perfect canvas for nail art, and it is good for nail art as well.





"You Can't See Me"



This is the black shade for this collection. A thin first layer gives a sheer look, but with a second layer is perfectly opaque and it covers so well. The base coat I use has a blue tint to it, and for some reason, with some black nail polishes, it comes thru, not with this one!! Love its coverage. It is very easy to apply and to clean up. And it looks so classy! (I have a feeling I'll be using this expression a lot here! lol)



"Call Me Classy"


I have to be honest, this one is my favorite of all the collection! Since the moment I put it on, I fell in love. It reminded me instantly of a cup of hot chocolate (YUM!) That gave me the idea for the nail art you'll see with it. The formula was thin and built up perfectly in two coats. The result, a stunning and elegant finish. Now I think it would also love beautiful with a matte top coat. Hum... maybe I'll try that.



"Can U Handle It?"


This polish is a mustardy yellow, so gorgeous. At first, I thought it was going to be very opaque, but it did need three coats to get to where I wanted, not complaining because the end result was so beautiful, and the three coats were very easy going. Maybe you can get away with two coats, but I wanted an even deeper color so I went for a third one. Watch it for yourself in the video bellow.



"Harlem"


This coral shade is highly pigmented. I would say you can get away with one coat, but in my seek for perfection I did two. It is gorgeous. Creamy, easy to apply and very opaque. It wears beautifully by itself, and with nail art as well. It is bright and happy. I would say this is a polish for all seasons.



"Wow"



This is a dark army green shade. It has a jelly finish to it. Perfect to create an edgy look. I did two thin coats and did not try for a third one because I did not want it to get any darker. At the end, I achieve a dark to sheer finish that was very stunning. Perfect for pairing it with gold nail polishes, metallic and studs.



"Live, Love, Laugh"



Besides loving the name of this polish, I am son in love with the shade. This is my kind of color. It is a very pigmented berry color that ranges between pinks and fuchsias. Super classy (here I go again lol), perfect for any occasion. Super easy to apply in two coats. Gorgeous.




"Bright Eyed"



Dark and classy burgundy shade. Perfect for that party you are invited to. It gives that elegant look to complete every outfit. Opaque in two easy coats. The formula was thin and so easy to build up.

Hello Everyone!

So this happened, I turned 30! Oh my Gosh! It is just so weird to say! I know I am going to get confused when people ask my age for a while, lol. But I am so grateful of my life, my family and all that has come to my life in all this 30 years. How did I celebrated? I spend the day with the love of my life, my wonderful husband, we went to the movies, he took me out to dinner, in fact, he made sure I had the most wonderful time all weekend long! In between that, I sure did my nails! Hey, that makes this girl happy! So I am going to show you, what I did (two manis, because one is just not enough lol) and you tell me what you think. Hope you find a little inspiration!

30 and Fabulous!

For the first design, I wanted to create a stylish look, featuring roses in pink and red, with gold glam accents. I think this design would go perfectly with any occasion, but adds a special glam to a birthday girl!
I used Essie polish in "Maki me Happy" , which has been making me happy for the past weeks, because I can't seem to stop wearing it! If you follow me on Instagram you are going to see it in some posts ;). As a base for my accent nail, I used Essie "Marshmallow", a perfect subtle off white polish, that enhances de design on top of it. And on my middle finger, my favorite gold glitter polish, L'oreal "The Statement Piece".

Fall is unmistakably (did I just used this word? lol) here, the weather is certainly colder and everything smells like pumpkin spice. Time to use my comfy sweaters and boots, and most importantly, time to rock some fall inspired nail art!

For today, I'll be comparing two nail art mess protectors. The famous liquid latex in comparison with the new nail tape protectors. The pros and cons. Yes, I finally got to try these out, and will tell you what was my experience with both.  Lets see how it goes! I  haven't tried any of these (before this post of course) because, lets face it, when these liquid latex first came out they were a little pricey (and some still are) so I tried to make as little mess as I could. Lol. Cheap as that haha. I got to try both of them thanks to a PR sample from Born Pretty Store.

Ok, so I made two different nail arts that will require some skin protection. You can watch them bellow. Then I'll tell you the Pros and Cons that I found with both products, so you can make your own choices.

•  You have to be really sure about allergies you may or not have to latex products.
•  It is a little messy to apply.
•  It has a smell to it, not very pleasant, but is nothing you can't work with.
•  It is more precise at the time of application.
•  You have to wait a few seconds for it to dry, so you can work on your nail art.
•  It is a little sticky while using (although after I used it, a friend, @housewifenails on  Instagram, gave me the tip to use cuticle oil so that your fingers doesn't stick together while  using it, smart right?!).
•  It gives you many uses on a bottle for one fair price. (This bottle is around $3.59 on their website)

•  Can be used even if you are allergic to latex.
•  You need to work around applying the tape (because it sticks to itself, but once you manage to  put it were you want, you are good to go).
•  It has only one use per tape, per nail. You can try to use it more than once, but it gets a little  difficult to apply after it losses its stickiness.
• You get less uses for the same price, although the price is really accessible ($1.59 for 10 pieces of nail tape).
